 Flashback, because the author in the beginning presents the story in sequence and then at some time, the author retells the story of the past. Exposition: In the beginning of story the author introduce about a main character that is Sumiran who digger well that has expectations to have a wise leader in his village for the village. Not only Sumiran that has the expectation, but the whole villagers in Sumber Agung also have the same expectations with Sumiran. Rising Action: When work in the Mr. Soleh’s house with his two friends namely Dul and Kamdi. Sumiran take any job to earn the money. Sumiran, Dul, and Kamdi have the same expectations that have wise leaders because the majority of the peoples in the village Sumber Agung live in poverty. Dul got informations that Mr. Soleh will be nominated as the village chief. This is good news for Dul and Kamdi.. But unlike Sumiran, Sumiran was not happy, doubt and do not believe about it.
