1. What is the main theme or idea this play explores? What does it say about that theme? Use details from the play to provide evidence.
The theme of the play is the difficulty of love. In the play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hermia, Helena, Lysander, and Demetrius are in a love quadruple between each other. This theme explore that no matter how hard love is to find, at the end people who were supposed to together, will end up together. The fairies mistakenly pair Lysander and Helena together but Lysander didn’t like Helena without the magic, even if Helena likes Lysander, their love could not happen because they were not meant to be together.
