For the most part, Luke simply stared at his umbrella, lost to the resounding words this young man had said to him. Of course, he didn’t pity the child. Past experiences, as well as his own childhood, rendered him upwards of incapable. Instead, he harbored a substantial amount of empathy. It was true that Luke hung his heart on his sleeve and inadvertently found every way he could to relate to a person or situation at hand. Times without number simply left him with the fierce desire to help in the end. It appeared that this happenstance proved no different for Skywalker.
