Star Wars is an epic space opera film series created by George Lucas, which includes galactic battles, theatrical adventure, as well as chivalric romance. The music, mainly composed by John Williams, gives depth to the storyline and is something that fans of all ages will always remember. The specific Star Wars movie that I have chosen to analyze is Star Wars, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, which was released on May 25, 1983.
The purpose of this confession written by Jonathon Lethem was to alleviate an inner turmoil that he had been struggling with for years now. This essay expands upon why his obsession with the “Star Wars” series during the time where in which his mother was suffering from a mental illness and before his awkward teenage years turned into an escape from reality. Lethem’s pride in the accomplishment of watching the series 21 times seems to be masked buy his own shame, but it was obvious that he views this experience as one of the most self-defining experiences of his life. The audience is left with a loving connection for the author as well as a sense of understanding and sympathy for his losses. At the end of his essay, he ends up describing himself as “the kid who partly invented himself in the vacuum collision of Star Wars - and real loss.”
The films that I chose to explore in this paper are Do the Right Thing by Spike Lee and Lone Star by John Sayles. Each film offers examples of counter narratives in my opinion. There are many examples of characters vying for both power and respect from characters of the other race. Spike Lee, however, has an undeniably unique style that offers a counter on many levels.
This is what delineates the entire story. The protagonist is suppressed with a huge weight on his back that he believes he can lift, but truly is crushed from the beginning. He believes that he can apply restrictions to fate and one can see this by the use of the movie in the story. He has seen it three time and knows the scenes and endings of it but yet still watches it.
Oftentimes, people read their favorite books or watch popular movies and they are completely oblivious to the origin of the theme(s). In fact, a collection of recent movies, books and paintings include themes dating back to mid-19th century. Indeed, the 19th century transcendentalists inspired many of today’s influential artists. For instance, mainstream movies like the “Star Wars” saga, best selling books such as the Hunger Games series, and distinguished artwork like Dispersion all suggest transcendentalist themes. Even though humanity moved farther away from simple lifestyle, some ideas from transcendentalists remain prominent in modern movies, books, and paintings.
Another dominant theme is boxing which is present to set up the line between boxing and fighting, and if there is even a distinction between them. My foremost rule is that books are always better than their film adaptions. But in the case of the Power of One I was unsure. I did not find either the novel or film enjoyable nor would I read or watch them again, but I did marginally prefer the novel as it contained more detail than the film.
Nicholas’ Journey To Save Jediism. The year is 2181 and the United States has become a Pastafarian nation only. We don’t allow Jediism, and if you follow it you won’t get included in things, like voting and they aren’t allowed to travel. A boy, named Nicholas observes how different people act and how they live as they follow different religions. We try to ignore them and allow them to live in the same area and talk to each other.
In this book Jim was more like a follower. But he was also a symbol of friendship. I think chew bocce from Star Wars is like this because they are bot bigger and stronger then there friends but they give the leadership to there friend and they both show undying loyalty to each other because chewbacca would do anything to save his friend hon sole. They both are also not the smartest people but they have common sense.
Thankfully, these films broke away from the propaganda mold, and forced the world to step back and analyze the complete picture. Although there is a wide range of national issues dealt
The director used the background sound and many filmmaking stiles in a matter whereas to fill the audience with mystery, suspense and drama thought the movie. The main theme was a challenge to understand in the beginning of the movie, but as the movie moved along towards the end it became clearer and clearer. This movie had many themes some are related to free will, other are moved towards the idea that nothing is perfect. Although the many themes the theme that from the begging towards the end that appeared over and over again, was that we make our own destiny, we choose where life takes us, nothing is set in stone for we are free to decide what we
The native police force struggles for cooperation from outside law enforcement because they do not have jurisdiction to prosecute the perpetrators. These films, along with many others, are milestones for native cinema as they are giving agency back to the people whose stories are being
Another theme that is explored is the gain in power and liberation through finding or disclosing the truth. These themes are accompanied by an insightful use of cinematography, which enhances the audiences’ engagement

Also an important thing when he shows us different eras, so we can see the people how they living especialy the children. In one of the eras, the children have hope of change and living a life like any other child, the innocence and childlihood, and in other era like they are okay with that life and can take it as a habit and a way of living if there is no other choice for surviving. So there childlihood and fate are lost in drugs, killing, and so on from the aggressive violent actions, and from the isolation that they grow up
The film would make European Australians realise how wrong we were to treat the Aboriginals like we have in the past. The characters are very effective and make the stereotypical Aussie come to life and the indigenous actors in the film are very true in the way that they play their roles and portray the way white Australians treated Indigenous people in our past and even in our current time. The film techniques such as the hand held camera give viewers an almost real life experience to the film and the soundtrack on the film is all native Australian music.
