Advertising has become one of the most influential and effective tools that business uses to promote their products. They have one purpose, and that is to persuade viewer into purchasing their product by making their product appealing. The advertisement I chose to analyze is the Gatorade “Sweat It. Get It”. The content of this ad is “You have to burn some to earn some” or “You have to take action for extraction” This one minute commercial stars a cashier at a gas station, and a typical person buying Gatorades. The commercial is advertising the sports drink Gatorade as a necessity to rehydrate exhausted athlete. The advertisement contains logos, pathos, and ethos aspects that appeal to consumers.

The way the audience will respond to the video is based on their opinion of criticism the cashier has towards an average person buying the Gatorade without breaking a sweat. For example, the audience might believe that the cashier is over exaggerating when he tells the customer that he can’t purchase the man the Gatorades because his appearance does seem like he works out. Another example that the audience will have an opinion or dislike the video is because of Cam Newton. Is Cam Newton the right athlete for the video, or should the organization Gatorade have gone with a different athlete that may be more credible for the
