Picasso has strongly focused to give a political statement in his painting, it gives the viewers a message that killing of innocent people, violence, unrest in the region, bombing and the overall destruction is of no use to humanity and it only gives harm and pain. He is trying to tell the people that peace and harmony is the only solution that would benefit the world. Though the painting Guernica was painted by Picasso as a reply to the bombings and unrest in Spain by the German and Italian forces in Spanish civil war, the painting has not only created its affect for the Guernica of that time but also it has left a message and meaning for us and years to come.
