Courage is something a lot of people have like Charles Lindbergh first nonstop flight NY to Paris, Sir Edmund Hillary climbing Mount Everest ,and firefighters and police who tried to save lives on 9/11 and my father George Quarranttey Sr. So one day had a been walking home from school and had a bully coming his way and said give me your money. He said “ No” than he yelled at him again “Gimmie(that is how he said it) your money now!!!”
We have to write an essay about keeping in touch. I don’t really know what to write about or I assume this paper suppose to be about keeping in touch with someone. Here a few idea I think is the best way to keep in touch with someone is by though an email, text message, or even visit that person. Email is a great way to keeping in touch with friend or professor if you're in college.
During high school essays I would struggle to begin or introduce my opening paragraph. I would sit on my desk pondering without an effective plan to build my essay. As time would desperately consume thinking quickly would be the only option making me go through a “panic stage.” Basically, the uneasy feeling would make an approachable prompt confusing. My writing does not follow the writing process of prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing effectively.
When I write I prefer little or no interruptions or distractions, and I want somewhere that provides privacy and quietude. I wish to be immersed in my work and have all of my thoughts and ideas fill the page. I want the words I write to have an impact on the reader. In my writing workspace, I want to have all the materials that I need at my disposal. As I write, I want to be organized, so I can write effectively and efficiently.
Before coming into VU Composition, I was in AP Language/Composition. At the end of AP Language, I felt that I had strayed away from who I was as a writer because of the timed writing atmosphere. I was often worried about finishing the essay rather than the details and the overall content. After completing this semester of VU Composition, I definitely feel that I have returned to my writing abilities prior to AP Language and have been able to better understand the grammar concepts that go in to writing a well-rounded essay. Overall, I have definitely seen improvement from my Literary Narrative Essay to my argument essay.
Writing process is difficult to realize since it requires a lot of skills and knowledge. Definitely, not many of us can start writhing right away without having any problems such as grammar, vocabulary or organization. However, a person can become a better writer if he or she will practice writing every day and will pay attention to his writing problems. To become a good writer, I have to improve my grammar, follow specific steps in writing process, and avoid using similar transitional words. Grammar is the number one problem in the writing process and causes me a lot of issues.
Competence in English I pursued all my school education in in my own language before entering United States. However, my family and myself prepared me well to pursue higher education in English since my middle school. After my immigration to United States, I had only one year (placed as a senior) to fulfill 3 years of English language requirement and 3 years of History requirement to graduate high school on time. I accept the challenge and work harder to finish the requirements.
To perform and scholarly research writing there are multiple task to start a person writing off and complete the task. Choosing a specific topic help narrow a paper from stating multiple topics and keeps it nice and flowy. After selecting a topic note taking will be the best way to organize a paper so that the readers will be informed on information on the topic. Creating an annotated bibliography will be the next thing to do so that there is recognition of where the information was found and who the parent of the writing was. When doing an annotated bibliography there will have to be recognition between secondary sources and primary sources so that not only the writer but the reader get an understanding to were the sources were found and
Every student has their own writing process. Writing process ways is the student's way to have the best writing assignments and make who ever read it understand their main idea. In this essay I am going to explain my own writing process for various type. In chapter 4 by Keith Hjortshoj “How Good Writing Gets Written” which talks about how should develops their writing skills and gives them some tips that they should use in their writing process.

Actually, if I’m being honest, my family sucks at writing. I was never placed in any special writing classes, but only the standard classes for school. I joined Intermediate composition to excel in my writing for my future. From this class, I’ve broadened my vocabulary and found new ways to check my pieces that I have wrote. I could always use more work with grammar because I have always struggled with that concept.
