ASL Class Reflection

Over the course of the semester, I have learned many things from this class that I hope to take with me as I progress through my future. The ideas and concepts that we have talked about in class and also what I have learned from the ASL project have greatly impacted how I view and analyze work that I have done and what I perhaps could do better. Acquiring this skill will be beneficial not only with future employers, but also in other classes and my other passions such as football.
Identification of Learning

I think one of these areas would have to be time management. Even though a lot of my time is spent focusing on football, I definitely needed to work on making time for this project and not rush around at the last moment to get it done. I think that this is a skill that I really tried hard to work on for this project since it had been a big deal for not only this class, but also to show myself what I am capable of. Instead of just saying I am going to work on something a certain day, I think next time it would be more effective if I write down and/or set reminders that whatever I have to do needs to get done, no excuses. Something I did well during this project was let my guard down in front of the camera. Speaking into a camera is kind of uncomfortable, but being able to let loose and have fun with it, really helped me climb outside of my comfort zone. One place where I could have worked harder was memorizing the information I was giving. That was something that I should have taken a little more time to work on, not just enough time to get through it once or twice. I think it would have helped the flow of my video a little bit more. If I were to do this project another time, I would try and make the video in less takes. This too would help add more flow to it. Another thing I would do is add a section asking students what they know about the General Education
