There are many debates on whether abortion should be legal and if abortion is ethical. To be forthright, I do not know the answer, as there is no answer. Ethical arguments are simply matters of opinion, and it is my opinion that abortion should be illegal to the same extent that Robert Owens experienced, if not more heavy handed, unless there is a serious and fatal threat to the mother. What is the difference between the murder of an unborn child through accident or malice and the institutionalized death of an unborn child via abortion? The difference is the desire for the child by the mother.
Abortion is full of excuses, going against God’s will, and murder. America should reconsider the laws and regulations of the countries soon to be mothers. Because abortion is a deliberate termination of a human life, women should not legally have the option to choose one. Making excuses for reasons a mother can kill her baby is wrong. For example, a mother having a baby she doesn’t want is no excuse to end a life.
Abortion has many ethical concerns which is why it is one of the most controversial and prevalent issues today. One of the biggest concerns surrounding abortion is rights that a fetus may have after a certain period. It is often argued that abortion is unlawful and violates the fundamental right to life. People argue and say that having an abortion takes away the fetus’s right to live, and no one should have the power to end someone else’s life. This ethical concern coincides with the religious argument that having an abortion is murder because you are taking someone’s life away from them by terminating the fetus.
Some people may believe it is unethical. But it should not be illegal. Abortion should be an option for pregnant women and should not be frowned upon, it is their body and the woman should be able to decide what happens to her body, not others. Abortion should be legal because women should have a right over their body, The first reason abortion should be legal is because women have rights over their bodies.

However, the abortion procedure became more widespread in recent years with over 900,000 pregnancies in the United States of America ending in an abortion annually. (“U.S. Abortion Statistics.). While many call themselves pro-choice, pro-lifers claim abortion is wrong. Which begs the question: is abortion morally wrong, and why does it matter?
The first reason why it is wrong is it is murder because you are killing a living human maybe its not born yet but it is still alive. Kyle Waltman states in the article “ Pro-Life: Abortion Controversy, “Scientists and doctors have used their imperfect judgements to establish the thresholds that vary by state between legally aborting a fetus and illegally murdering a baby in such a way that the murdering of a pregnant woman results in a trial for two separate counts for murder...” In other words, it is ok for a mother to kill her baby that is not born yet and does not get trial but if the woman also gets killed illegally he get trial and goes to jail. This shows that is is the same action being done except with the woman also being murdered.. In addition, in a
I do not agree with having an abortion out of convenience. In our court system the circumstances that lead up to the crime is taking into consideration. When someone is killed the first question asked is who had motive. The crime a criminal is charged with is dependent upon was it planned or a rash decision.
Don Marquis wrote an article titled “Why Abortion is Immoral.” He suggested that we address abortion in a larger discussion of the ethics of killing. Marquis believes killing is not wrong because it portrays the killer to be violent or because it leaves friends and relatives brokenhearted. Instead, killing is wrong mainly because of the effect it has on the victim. Killing deprives the victim of life.
The debate whether abortion is morally permissible or not permissible is commonly discussed between the considerations of the status of a fetus and ones virtue theory. A widely recognized theory of pro-choice advocates can be thought to be that their ethical view is that fetus’s merely are not humans because they lack the right to life since they believe a fetus does not obtain any sort of mental functions or capability of feelings. Although this may be true in some cases it is not in all so explaining the wrongness of killing, between the common debates whether a fetus does or does not obtain human hood, should be illustrated in a way of a virtuous theory. The wrongness of killing is explained by what the person or fetus is deprived of, such as their right to life; not by means of a heart beat or function of one’s body, but by the fact that it takes their ability of potentially growing into a person to have the same human characteristics as we do.
Why Abortion Should Be Illegal Abortion has been a popular debate in the United States, especially after the Supreme Court ruling in 1973 stating a woman has the right to an abortion. In my opinion, abortion is wrong and very unethical. There are some specific instances where abortion may be acceptable, but for the most part, abortion is an evil act. Abortion should be illegal because it is the killing of an innocent human, even if he or she has not been born yet.

Women have abortions for many reasons, some being that they are not ready for that kind of commitment or they have been raped and got pregnant. An abortion should never be an option in any case because it’s considered as murder, it causes pain to the person and baby during and after the procedure, and there are other choices to choose from including adoption.
Any ethical person would say that it is morally wrong to kill any human being. An abortion involves killing a fetus. A fetus is a human being. Therefore, shouldn’t everyone agree that abortion is wrong? Natural Law Theory states that we discover the highest principle of natural law by looking at aspects of our human nature.
The legalization of abortion will allow a woman to fully exercise her constitutional right of freedom of choice. Benefits of abortion far exceed the disadvantages and the life to preserve and better should be that of the mother or parents and not of an unborn fetus. On this basis, abortion should be legalized in all countries. Is it really moral and ethical if the life of the mother of the unborn child is not considered in these decisions? Are we really going to allow the feelings of something that feels nothing to influence this decision?
