Abuses of children during Victorian times, the rich, the poor and the orphans. The wealthy children were spoiled, but were sad. These children were raised by nannies who would teach them right from wrong. The wealthy children rarely communicated with their parents which made them sad. They made the nannies instill things such as manners, education, how to dress and much more. These nannies were older women that never married. These nannies were very strict and sometimes mean. The wealthy children had a elegant and more privileged life then the poor children. The wealthy families had servants that cleaned the house, cooked and washed the clothes. For the wealthy there was boredom and always having to be proper and polite. Boys with wealthy parents went to boarding school, while the girls were taught house hold things like knitting and sewing. These poor children were closer to there family because of the single rooms. These poor families also didn't have money for nannies so they raised their children themselves. Many poor families had a bunch of kids because children had to work, so they had more income the more kids. Kids even ages four and five would work. Safety wasn't a concern and these children had to work in poor conditions. The jobs these kids would work would be in the factories , sweeping in the streets, servants and prostitution.
