The book An Insider's Guide to Academic Writing: A Rhetoric and Reader, by Miller-Cochran, Stamper and Stacey is being use in my English course called Composition 102 at Middlesex Community College. The purpose of the studied of the book is to help the student to develop new and better writing and reading skills. The authors of the book divided it into three parts, each part has a different context that will prepare students to learn new skills to succeed in their academic education.

Also talks about the type of audience an argument can have or if it have more than one audience. The last session of Part One, Academic research the authors are trying to teach us or to refresh our minds of how to research the right way. As sessions 1 and 2 they also talk about research, education, how to interpret a context, etc. One difference is that session 5 Reading and Writing in the Fields, talks about where they are going to use their skills of big talk, classification, etc. These fields are Business, Nursing, Education, and Law. In Part Two of the book the intention of the authors is to demonstrated that we can use reading and writing in many different ways and fields that will help us to succeed in our academic
