Action Learning Plan: Results and Reflection
Ever since I was little I have loved to play sports, I have played football hockey and baseball for multiple years. I really started playing all three of them simultaneously when I was in third grade. Once I got into college I really wasn’t sure whether or not if I wanted to keep playing sports. My dad had convinced me to tryout for baseball at this college. I ended up not making the team this year. I think this will be very different for me since I have been playing sports for most of my life. It will be a huge adjustment for me. Assumption college gives students the benefit of having 1free access to the gym. I created a schedule for what I will be doing to my workout. Throughout time of doing the workout I am hoping to add weight to the workouts and get stronger. One of the most important things that I have learned from my organization class is that not only do you have to create an organized schedule; you have to stick with the schedule you have created. The theories explain that organization is very important, I tried to create a schedule that allowed me to do the workout I needed throughout each weak but still giving me time to do my homework for college and also have free time to hangout with friends. Also playing sports throughout high school and taking the the management class has taught me to manage my time efficiently. Managing your time is very important and the better you manage your time the more time you will have for yourself. I didn’t learn any new skills throughout this project, but the management class really helped me with organization and managing my time more efficiently. Some days were hard because pf the amount of homework I had or that I had a huge test that I needed to study for. I managed to go gym most of the time during my first semester at Assumption College. I was satisfied with the results, I managed to lift more weight as the weeks went by. One of the hardest things for me to do during this project was trying to stay motivated to go to the gym. When you aren’t really playing any sports you really start to ask yourself “Why am I going to the gym? What do I need to workout for if I’m not playing any sports? What am I working out for?” This was a huge change for me and I really need to find a way to motivate myself to keep going to the gym. I think that I am on the right track for working out, I just need to be able to stay motivated to workout and keep myself in shape. Not only do you look good when we have been working out for a while, but you also feel good since you are in better shape. Sometimes I feel so tired if I just lay on my bed when I don’t do anything all day. I think I really need to keep going to the gym and get
