The Murdaugh family murders have to be one of the most intriguing and interesting stories that has happened in South Carolina maybe ever. The Murdaugh family, what many looked at as southern royalty due to their wealthy past, came crumbling down when father Alex Murdaugh killed his son Paul and wife Maggie. Firstly, what seems to be the start of the downfall was when oldest son Paul, was involved in a fatal boat crash accident. Paul was “charged in 2019 with drunkenly crashing a boat in an accident that killed one of his passengers, 19-year-old Mallory Beach, and injured several others”.

Brent Bishop just moved to Chicago, and is going to attend a new high school for his senior year. At a party with his new classmates, Brent is humiliatingly rejected that night by a girl that he was very interested in. Furious and flustered, Brent flees the party inebriated, and one poor decision changes everything. Dave Roever On October 16th 2015, Dave Roever came to Margaretta High school. He told us about what had happened when he was in war and all of his other experiences in his life. He also told us about how we are his favorite school to come to because we gave him our football the night of the homecoming game, where we only lost by one point. He also wants us to know that everybody is loved by someone and we should always know that. He also told us that we should always treat everybody with respect because we never really know what they have been through or what they are currently going through.
Hannah Bailey is a senior attending Warsaw Community High School in Warsaw, Indiana. While in school she lives with her grandparents while her dad works off shore. Hannah has lived in Warsaw, Indiana since birth and she firmly beliefs that the town is conservative. Music, art, and writing is her passion. She highly believes in liberal art, and hope to become a filmmaker.
Alexandra Miles is not you average high school senior at Spencer High School. Alexandra is an expert at manipulating her peers in order to take what she wants, and this year it’s to be crowned Homecoming Queen. Throughout her life she competed in beauty pageants, and has never lost one. Though this year she is struggling to keep her head above water because of her father’s death and her mother’s lack of attention. This doesn’t make Alexandra soft, if anything, it makes her stronger.
I believe John Oakhurst is an outcast. He is not like the other people in the town of Poker Flat. He’s a caring person unlike other people in the town. He’s a gentlemen to The Dutchss. Poker flat is a sinful town full of improper people, but John Oakhurst is a good man.

After the success of the “Stop ERA” campaign, Phyllis Schlafly founded the eagle forum, a pro family group dedicated to “opposing all encroachments against American sovereignty through…feminist goals” (Schlafly). Sing quite satirically describes Crisp as “an alien… legal alien in New York” and portraits the anxiety the young gay Englishman experiences in this gentles society. The title for valedictorian is heavily competition-based and a highly controversial topic in today’s modern society. In fact, many people argue for the continuation of the valedictorian title; however, others also contest for the cancellation of the title. Published by The New Yorker, in 2005, Margaret Talbot argues her stand on the debate of keeping the title for valedictorian in schools. Using research and evidence gained by her examination of the Sarasota High School in Florida, she effectively gives a complete overview of the subject, but she also imposes her side of the argument onto the reader. Duane Elwood Hanson was an American figurative sculptor who was known for his trompe l’oeil style sculptures. He was born on January 17, 1925 in Alexandria, Minnesota and died on January 6, 1996. Hanson attended Macalester College, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in 1946. From there, Hanson furthered his education by studying at the University of Minnesota, eventually obtaining his M.F.A in sculpture at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1951. He spent a few years teaching in Germany, where he met George Grygo, a German artist who worked with fiberglass and polyester.

In the short story “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson, a cruel tradition occurs in towns across the nation. Every year, the town gathers and at random chooses a head of the household and a member of that family to be stoned to death. Dave Hutchinson’s life is changed forever when his mother and father, Bill and Tessie Hutchinson, are chosen in the lottery. All the children in the town will grow up to experience different issues with their health and with different perspectives on if the lottery is right or wrong, with Dave at a more of a disadvantage as he was directly affects by the lottery.
Nick Adams faced multiple traumatizing events that are expressed throughout a series of short stories written by Ernest Hemingway. Nick’s experiences and observations involving suffering, death, endurance, heartbreak, racism, and birth have all contributed to his development into a great husband which I can conclude based on his behavior throughout the stories. During Nick’s presence at the Indian camp, he was exposed to the some reality of the world. Nick was able to witness the beauty of life in which a woman gives birth to a child. Although the delivery of the baby was excruciating for the Indian woman, Nick realized that his father did not care.
