I foresee Westridge changing me for the better. I see myself with a brighter future if I attend Westridge because the school will challenge me and give me more opportunities that I believe I will not find anywhere else.

I think Westridge will provide me with an amazing academic preparation and personalized college counseling. At my current school, I feel as though I am not challenged enough since most of my fellow peers lack focus in the classroom. I have to wait for them to understand concepts before our teacher can continue covering a new topic. I love learning new things but since other students do not, I am held back. I think an all-girl school will allow me to concentrate on my school work and spend less time dealing with annoying boys. It will also allow me to develop meaningful and long-lasting friendships with other girls. I believe that I can learn so much from my classmates especially because we will come from different backgrounds. Westridge has diversity and I am excited to be in a community that celebrates our differences.

Westridge can also help me explore my passions and interests. I have chosen to go to college where I hope to study computer science or computer engineering. I love science, math, and art and I dream of someday having a job where I am able to do lots of coding. And since Westridge has an elective course in Computer Science, I am very excited for it will give me a preview into what I would be seeing in college classes, and in my potential career.

In return, I will change Westridge by bringing my own diversity and uniqueness. I am a Latina and I would love to share my culture and traditions with the Westridge community. I also come from a disadvantaged neighborhood which has given me a specific view on community issues and worldviews. I can bring these views into conversations and topics in class.
