Adnan Syed: Innocent Or Guilty?

Adnan Syed has spent more than half his life in prison for a crime the police say he committed, but was it really him who commited the crime? My claim is that Adnan is innocent. In 1999 Adnan Syed was convicted for murdering his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee. The police’s main resource was Adnan’s acquaintance Jay Wilds. There was no motive for Adnan to kill Hae. He wasn’t stuck up on her or obsessive. Cell phone records are not accurate Multiple times people said that they have seen Adnan Syed after school and Hae had never given him a ride. Adnan had track practice the day of the murder and his coach and classmates remember seeing him that day. Adnan genuinely cared when he heard about Hae’s death. “Adnan’s dating multiple girls!” ”I can tell you some of the girls that he is dating.” “He is not upset about him and Hae breaking up.” Saad states. This supports my claim by showing that Adnan wasnt stuck up on the breakup with Hae and he wasn't taking it rough at all. He took it as a normal teenager with no stress about it. “He’s a player! He has a lot of girls!... he’s talking to multiple-” This was just a normal break up to him. He talked to multiple girls. Asia McClain says, “Adnan came in. He sat at the table. And we weren't really close friends or anything like that, but we knew each other. And we chatted or whatever. And I can't remember.” Sarah then asks, “Do you remember what time you were talking, this would have happened in the library? Do you remember the time the conversation would have happened?” Asia then says, “I don't. Because I know school let out around 2:15. So it was probably 2:30.” This helps Adnan out a lot because this means he wasn't near Hae when she was killed and there were witnesses that saw him after school. If they saw him after school, that means there was no possible way for him to murder her. “Yeah, I was pretty pissed when Derek showed up. And he asked me who Adnan was. That was teenager boy language. He’s like, you know, who the hell is that” This works for Adnan because it proves that someone else saw him in the library. That means that the amount of witnesses could’ve been sufficient enough for adding on to be placed at the library at that time. Therefore by stating all of the facts, this proves that Adnan Syed could not have possibly committed the murder of Hae Min Lee. It is not logical and unreasonable for him to do
