Adolf Hitler grew up with a lot of hatred and all of his loathing came into play to start WWII. He had a lot of hate towards different people and with his hatred he became more and more powerful. His group of Nazis got larger and people began joining him because they were terrified. They started following him and thinking of Hitler as a leader because he had power and made everything seem good when it actually wasn’t. To begin, he started to rise to power in 1918, the year after World War I ended. He wanted to restore Germany to the way it was before the war. He would use everything in his power to stick to his word. After a while, on September 12, 1919 he spied on a group he later joined called the German Workers Party (Roberts 16). The goal of the group was to return Germany to its former glory, it later became known as the Nazis. After he joined the group he started to give speeches and spy on political groups more and more. First, by July 1933 the Nazis were the only legal political party and whoever opposed him were out in concentration camps (Taylor, Adolf Hitler ). In early November, 1938, a Jew murdered a German politician and Hitler used that for an excuse for an attack on Jewish businesses, synagogues, and shops (Taylor, Adolf Hitler ). On November 7, he marched into the German embassy and shot the German Diplomat. After, thousands of opponents were put in camps, un-German books were burned in streets, and the round-up of Jews began. On the nights of November 9-10, 1938, Nazi mobs went on a rampage across Germany, they burned down 267 synagogues, smashed the windows of 8,000 Jewish shops, and murdered 91 Jews and thousands were sent to concentration camps (Taylor, Adolf Hitler ).Finally, between 1933-1939, Hitler made his position more secure, but then started falling apart. After D-Day landing in June of 1944, Germany was fighting on 3 fronts, in Russia, France, and Italy, but German cities were defeated and Hitler did nothing, he was a physical and mental wreck. He had no idea what to do when he officials were taken but his forces conquered most of Europe before they were defeated in 1945.
