The Treaty of Versailles was a treaty that was created after World War 1 that was harsh and not successful. It was created to restore peace and make sure that Germany does not start more wars by making Germany pay reparations for the damages. Germany lost around 13 percent of its territory and its reparation fees were way too high. Eventually, many nations disagreed with the Treaty of Versailles leading to the emergence of nationalist movements

When India was in depression, the British East India company heavily taxed salt. Many civilians were not able to afford a necessity in cooking. In order to stand up for these monopolies, Mohandas Gandhi started the salt march. According to “Gandhi and the Salt March”, “Gandhi began a march from his communal village in western India to the coast to gather salt for free.” This explains how Gandhi stood up against the monopolies with his followers by walking through these marshes and boiling the water gained in order to produce salt which was illegal at the time. This was a peaceful protest which gave a lot of attention to the British's rule on India. Media began to write articles about the march and many worldwide started to see the wrong in Britain.. This action was important as it was one of the important steps which lead to India’s freedom from Britain. The attention was important as many others in India started to follow Gandhi's footsteps which helped India gain even more attention. Differing, Adolf Hitler approached economic problems by using fear and power. As mentioned earlier, Germany was in great debt due to the reparations from world war 1 and the huge amount of money spent on the war. Germany wanted more natural resources to increase their economy. Hitler conquested areas that he felt was taken away from Germany in world war 1 such as Czechoslovakia and Poland. Which were rich in natural resources. According to “The outbreak of World War II in Europe”, it explains that “it brought in new wealth in the form of gold, natural resources, and industrial capacity to pay for the military campaigns.” This explains that Hitler was able to improve economic conditions by taking control of other areas and abusing them by using their abundant resources. Everyone in Germany was excited that they finally had a ruler that could lead them to success. Germany was gaining more power and
