The ethical issues that are presented in this case pertains to the fact that colleges are hiring felons to speak to college students. This may seem as an ethical issue due to the fact that the felons were the one who committed these unethical actions in the first place. Thus, there are many critics who believe that felons should not be speaking about this topic. There is also an issue with them getting paid and other business executives not being paid to do the same job.

Students may undermine what someone has to say because they have no experience to prove what they are saying. Ex-Cons have experience in the business world. They have made mistakes by being unethical. Therefore, they can tell college students firsthand about what not to do when they are working and recommend positive solutions when faced in difficult situations. They can use their experience to show and paint a picture in college students minds that if they do not do what is right at all times they can face prison time just as they have. I think college students would better understand and even listen more to a person who have been in such a difficult situation.
