In the modern world, it has become very easy to obtain information from social media, and this happens instantaneously. One advantage of easily obtainable information is that it is convenient for people to be in one place and still be able to catch the news or check in with friends from somewhere else. You can also listen to music, share pictures, and now video chat while at the same time holding a conversation with someone that is sitting right next to you. It enables one to multitask and do those things efficiently, while conforming to society’s intolerant nature. A disadvantage to effortlessly accessible information is when critical or sensitive information is available when it should not be. For example, I had a cousin that had got into a real bad accident and passed away and it was on social media before I had even got to me or my family. This is something that I think should have not got to social media before our family had found out, not all information should go to social media especially something as sensitive as this. An advantage of social media is that if you are starting a business you can promote your business to get your business off to a good start.
