Animals are being tested on to help decide whether a product is safe for humans to use. During this process the animals being tested on are being harmed and some of them even die to prove a product is not safe. Animals should not be tested on because it causes extinction and it harms animals that do not need to be harmed. There are other solutions that scientist can use to see if a product is safe for humans to use without testing on animals such as human models.
1.Harmful: When scientist say they have animal tested they mean they use procedures on animals that collect research and information on that test they perform on the animals. When animal testing, scientist test based on the different things they specifically are studying. Some reasons

Part of the testing process includes testing animals to a point that they die. Some animals being used for testing are starting to become extinct. This should be greatly taken into consideration when choosing an animal to test on. If someone was to use an animal that is going extinct to perform their tests on, then that animal has a higher probability of becoming extinct. Therefore scientist need to be careful on which animals they choose to test on. These testing are causing the rate of extinction to go up which is not good for our society or future. If the animals become extinct then they will no longer be on earth. The animal will be gone forever. Therefore the children and grandchildren that come along will never know what that animal was. The extinction will also cause a disturbance in the ecosystem by taking out a part of the food tree.(Gonchar). Now “...because experiments on animals are cruel, expensive, and generally inapplicable to humans—the world’s most forward-thinking scientists have moved on to develop and use methods for studying diseases and testing products that replace animals and are actually relevant to human health.”(www,peta). This shows that scientist are pursuing other options besides only doing animal
