Yes for Animal Testing Humans or animals who would you choose? As humans, we face many problems in our life like diseases. We need to find treatments to cure them, and one why to do that is animal testing. When it comes to animal testing there is a lot of controversy around it. Even though many people think that animals should not be used for tests because it is inhuman, I believe that we should experiment on animals to help cure diseases, save other animals, and because there is no other alternative. Testing on animals has helped to cure many diseases over the years. Every time a new vaccine or medicine is given to the public is probably been tested on animals to make sure that it is safe. No one wants to take or drink drugs that are harmful to them. Colin Blakemore states, “Patient might not know that the powerful new drugs Avastin (for vowel, breast and lung cancer) and Herceptin (for breast cancer) were developed after research on mice.” In other words, Blakemore asserts that usually when patient get the cures they don’t realize that they have been established due to the tests on animals. Many animals might face death due to diseases, such as rabies, viruses, and infections; however, because of the tests on animals that that is not happening. Many animals like pets and others are living longer and healthier life due to animal testing. In addition, the article “Animal Testing” states that “Animal testing has also been instrumental in saving endangered species from extinction.” That means that numerous animal might get extinct because of all the diseases that they face.
