The dimensions consist of two components that include structure and process, defining the two can be confusing but if you think of structure as the chain of command process that identifies who reports to whom in the agency it can be narrowed down. Organizational process will be focusing on the key activities that occur within the organizational structure including communication processes, control systems, and decision making. Initially the planning had taken place so once it had been completed the structure and related processes are used to carry out the agencies strategies, goals and objective outcomes (pg103). There are often times in an agencies development that changes will occur whether it be an actual relocation, critiquing of the programs and employee status including any requirements. These changes can make for difficult time spent trying to reorganize and orientate to the more current models. Two groups are typically set up to manage these changes and has been found to be an effective way to redesign an existing organization. A steering committee, consisting of representatives of key stakeholder groups including executive and middle management and a design team, constituted with a representative group. Clinical supervision varies from administrative supervision in that they have to have the clinical expertise along with the supervisory skill in order to accommodate all of the education requirements of the supervisee. Supervision will require an understanding of the needs that often affect an individual’s performance, with motivation playing a large role in this development motivation theories have been grouped together as content theories. Process theories have been identified as content-free and describe the ways in which needs, behaviors, and rewards may all interact together. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs has been referred to as a motivational theory in relation to the building upon meeting one’s basic needs and moving up the hierarchy in order to achieve the next psychological need. This theory can be motivational in a sense that one can feel inspired by reaching each individual level, while processing through the stages towards self-actualization. Herzberg’s motivation/hygiene theory makes a clear distinction between factors related to job dissatisfaction and those involved in producing job satisfaction and motivation. Herzberg’s theory focuses on the factors that can non-motivational to the employee such as, the work environment, fairness of policies,
