In the United States; we have an aging society. An aging society is when the median age of a country increases due to rising life expectancy and declining fertility rates. In the year of 2050, the number of older people will increase by a substantial amount. Mostly, it would cause a major impact on my time as an adult and during my entirement years. It will also impact on others future by family, economics, government, and religion.
As the society I live in is increasing when time progresses, it has shown to be more reliant on technology and industrialization. When I become an adult, the impact of the aging society would lead to different kinds of changes of what I was used to when I was younger. The family would be affected by the impact by changing perspective of what is the role of the family. In the future, there will be fewer parents and children, having the older generation help the new generation raise children. In the economics, the aging society would affect it by slowing it down because the tendency of people to lower savings rates; however of the lower rate in economics, it will not impede the pace of economic growth completely. In addition, the impact will take place in the government as well. For the government, the aging society will produce additional publicly-funded health, long-term and income support for older people. The education in the United States will make an impact as well by increasing education levels. With the population rising, there will be better educated to increase productivity, which will lead to the increase of industrialization in the country. Also, the aging society will make an impact on religion. In Religion, it is an important part of the aging society and it is used by the elderly in order to gain demands of later life and they appear much more often than in their younger years.
