Good afternoon my fellow Alaskans. Today we are all here to talk about current problems of our great state. Alaska, is not only a huge territory, Alaska is also our home, our pride and a piece of our heart. Let’s imagine, that Alaska is our child, and what usually parents do to provide to the child fantastic future? I suppose that they care about their child, give him or her prestige education, support him/her during the life and always think how to make the life of the child better. Does everyone agree with me? The same attitude should be toward our state, and this goal we can achieve only with your support. Unfortunately, a lot of citizens mistrust government and do not believe promises, which politician actors usually use to get their benefits, but in reality there are no results. These parents and children, who will go to sleep and wake every day in a fear. Fear which in spite of all their efforts they are just one injury or diagnosis away from losing everything. It’s unacceptable. And we’re going to stop this fear, are you with Alaskans?
I began taking steps to accept the 100-percent federally funded Medicaid expansion for all of people who don’t have an opportunity to allow themselves to have health care. Many in the faith-based community, the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce and other job creators say Medicaid expansion isn’t just good for the health of our citizens; it’s also good for the health of our economy.
It is estimated this could create as many as 4,000 new medical jobs in Alaska. Which, also help to decrease somehow the unemployment rate .
