The topic I would be doing would be on/about Alexander Hamilton in regards to The Federalist Papers. This topic is significant, because it draws on the Founding Father whose writing influenced/shaped the composition of the Early American Republic, and has given rise to many institutions/developments that can be traced to this day. As quite a controversial and well-debated document, The Federalist Papers was designed as a series of essays used to defend the Constitution—upon which we still call upon today. The five sources that provide a basic foundation to begin the project are: “To Begin the World Anew” by Bernard Bailyn, “The Political Psychology of the Federalist” by Daniel Walker Howe, “Ethos in Law and History: Alexander Hamilton,

Hamilton was born in 1755/1757 in the island of Nevis, in the British West Indies, to James Hamilton and Rachel Fawcett Lavine to which his father some years later would abandon his older brother, mother, and himself and leave them in destitute. Alexander Hamilton’s mother died shortly after his father’s abandonment. Alexander was later shot by Aaron Burr in 1804. He went to King’s College after he
The United States was plagued with the economic instability following the American Revolution, so they devised multiple strategies to facilitate the situation. As well as deal with economic issues following the Revolutionary War with Great Britain, the US had to formulate methods to deal with all its foreign conflicts it had amassed. From 1787 to 1816, the United States initially struggled to deal with their economic debt due to taxation revolts by citizens who did not support the reforms, but was able to fix the issues through the use of Alexander Hamilton’s financial plan as well as deal with their foreign conflicts successfully through intelligent treaties. The United States attempts to solve their economic debts through taxation did

With President George Washington leading the nation, there were two visionaries who helped shape our nation. Their opposing views aide in understanding where the Government stood and the economic visions of these two men in the 1790’s. Alexander Hamilton vision of leading the nation was to push the country forward, organizing, and more modern. Thomas Jefferson was an agrarian who believed in keeping order and only that congress should only take action when absolutely necessary. On December 14, 1790 Hamilton, the Secretary of the Treasury’s Report on a National Bank was introduced.
Hamilton claimed to have been born in the British West Indies, on the Island of Nevis, sometime between 1755 and 1757. He escaped a life of meaninglessness and moved to New York as a teen where he began his political
Right now our country is truly suffering an economic disaster. The debt, which is continuously rising, will soon hit 20 trillion dollars. Yourself, Alexander Hamilton, is a man who proposed the Bank of the United States and served as the first Secretary of Treasury in George Washington’s cabinet which I feel gives you the credentials to attempt to solve our current day debt dilemma. Early you became one of Washington’s most trusted aid in the Revolutionary War. You also were the main writer in the Federalist Papers, which ensured the ratification of the Constitution (Celebrating Hamilton’s Achievements).

For this assignment I have chosen the quote: “ Words can be like X-rays, if you use them properly–they'll go through anything. ”(Huxley 72), from chapter four of Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. In the book, Helmholtz Watson, a professor at the College of Emotional Engineering, feels that his job doesn’t give him the satisfaction for which he yearns, and wishes to use his writing skill set to do something more valuable to him. He uses the quote above to profess his ambitions to his friend, Bernard Marx. I relate to this quote because I understand the importance of words, but, unlike Helmholtz, often have trouble being concise.
According to historians, Alexander Hamilton was born on January 11, 1757. There are still doubts about how accurate this date is. Hamilton was born in St. Kitts to Rachel Fawcett and James Hamilton. He spent most of his youth on the island of St. Croix. His youth education was close to very little.
He was the son of James Hamilton Senior and Rachel Faucett. His mother was also known as Rachel Lavien, because before she met James Hamilton, she was married to John Lavien, with whom she birthed a son. John Lavien then had Rachel arrested and sentenced to a year in prison for not living with him. Once Rachel was released from prison she returned to the West Indies. It was here, in the West Indies that she met Alexander Hamilton’s father.
Along with the work force came a change in who was working. During World War I, women had no choice but to work to support the families while their men were off fighting in the war. The womens movement and progressivism throughout World War I made it possible for women to not only continue working but to vote along with all other Americans due to the nineteenth amendment. Not only did Roosevelt help corporations but he also wanted to help Americans that were dying in his American states. President Roosevelt not only helped to put millions on Americans back to work but the CCC, Civilian Conservation Corp and the CWA, Civil Works Administration also help put Americans back to work.
