Alexander Hamilton
Alexander Hamilton is a very important figure in American history. He was a founding father and helped in many wars including the Revolution. Hamilton had a great impact on our government as well. However, the average person does not know as much as they should about his life before he was a founding father, his military career, his life during his governmental success, his married life nor how his actions affected the United States of America today.
Alexander Hamilton was born in January 11th between 1755 and 1757, the exact year is not known. He was born on a small island in the Caribbean Sea called Nevis. He was not like other political leaders in the sense that he was not born into a family with lots of money and riches. …show more content…

However, in 1773 Alexander was one of the lucky ones in his family and got to attend King’s College. A young man named Hercules Mulligan took Alexander under his wing and mentored him. Mulligan encouraged Alexander to join the Sons of Liberty at age eighteen. Hercules also had a great impact on Hamilton’s views and the way he thought about things. However, when Mulligan left New York to become a spy to help defeat the British Army, Hamilton found more interest in political involvement when compared to academics because the American colonies were on the border of having a revolution. Surprisingly, having just given his dream, Alexander Hamilton left King’s College, before graduation, in order to join the Patriots’ fight against taxes and business regulations. After his career as a lawyer, Alexander worked for the establishment of the US Constitution and eventually was named the first Secretary of Treasury. “The financial situation of the country after the Revolution was the primary problem facing the new nation, and Hamilton developed the Hamiltonian system.” Stated by Eric W.
