I think that McKenna’s article effectively uses logical and emotional appeal to convey her opinion that society’s scorn towards antibiotics is silly. She builds her academic argument by giving a comprehensive history of antibiotic history while citing outside resources from reliable organizations and scientists. Additionally, McKenna illustrates examples of benefits of proper antibiotic use, like with livestock raising. The article’s effectiveness also largely lies in its emotional appeal, particularly through personal testimony.
Travis Lazarczyk doesn’t consider himself a sportswriter but rather a writer about people with sports as a backdrop. His most exciting stories to write about comes from the accomplishment a group of people or individuals, specifically high school basketball teams. The most emotional story he has ever wrote about was Dick McGee. Dick was a friend and Lazarczyk’s feature on Dick felt he was writing an obituary rather than a feature. Travis came to answer questions for Thomas Colleges EH-111 Section G sports writing and composition class.

Daniel Yankelovich was a very intelligent man that preached about many (vocab) that made sense and was actually true. But in the article " " Yankelovich states that "Realistically speaking, higher education may not be very responsive to the larger society over the next decade. It has too many constituencies to satisfy, too many traditions, too many constraints weighing on it to lend it the flexibility — or the political will — to adapt rapidly to the outside world.". Through history, higher education has evolved very little, but has thrived on relatively small changes. There 's not much you can change in education except the way how you teach.
In this paper, I will argue that federal regulation should limit public and commercial access to over-the-counter antibiotics. My main reasons are that industrial farms often misuse antibiotics to raise livestock, patients often neglect the medical impacts of antibiotics due to limited knowledge on the medicine, and the superbug-related healthcare services take away resources from the budgets of other pressing health threats. In addition, I will also present the opposing viewpoints and refute their arguments by analyzing their claims with STAR analysis and checking for any possible logical fallacies that could possibly mislead the audiences. At the end of this paper, I will convince my audience that antibiotic regulation is the only hope to
Introduction: Bad press is bad for business and a company’s bottom line. The agriculture business in America and around the world has seen heightened controversy due to leaked images of unethical treatment of animals. The industry hit hardest by this controversy is known as industrial agriculture or factory farms. Factory farms are very large centers that produce much of the meat, eggs, dairy, and other foodstuffs we consume.
Factory farmed animals have no federal legal protection from horrifying abuses that would otherwise be illegal if they were practiced on dogs or cats: neglect, mutilations, crippling, transport through all weather extremes, and inhumane slaughter. Nevertheless, farmed animals are no less sensitive or capable of feeling pain than dogs or cats, which we cherish as companions. Animals, like humans, are healthiest when they eat certain foods; “Cows, have stomachs that are designed to digest grass. Pigs can digest grass, corn, grains, soy and other plants. Chickens and turkeys can eat plants as well as bugs and worms found on the pasture.”
Some of the antibiotics they put in there animals could help cure diseases like MRSA. MRSA is a disease you get from toughing raw meat with a cut on your hand or from touching meat then scratching your nose or something. MRSA kills dozens and injures hundreds a year around the United States. More than 94,000 people have problems with MRSA a year. The animals in CAFOS around the world consume nearly 70% of antibiotics, perhaps more than 24 million pounds a year.
As a society there should be a continuation of proceeding to develop new laws. Animals have rights that are not being protected or considered when they are not given the chance to live without suffering or harm. Additionally animal rights are violated when they are used as products for experimentation. Animal experimentations
In 1942, Vassili Zaitsev, a soldier in the Red Army, finds himself on the front lines of the Battle of Stalingrad. Sent on basically a death charge against the invading Germans, he uses marksmanship taught to him by his grandfather from a young age to save himself and commissar Danilov. Nikita Khrushchev arrives in Stalingrad to strengthen the city's defenses and demands ideas to improve morale. Danilov, now a Senior Lieutenant, suggests that the people need figures, or heroes, to idolize, and writes tales of Vassili's missions in the army's newspaper that paint him as a national hero. Vassili is transferred to the sniper division, and he and Danilov become friends.
