During the 1940’s and 1950’s, Alfred Kinsey, who started an in depth research on sexuality to make others aware of the natural occurrence of being homosexual, once said, “Males do not represent two discrete populations, heterosexual and homosexual. The world is not to be divided into sheep and goats. Not all things are black nor all things white.” Clearly, Kinsey was trying to point out that among the different species in the world, everything should not be judged in an offensive way. In other words, an individual should not be judged on the basis of what one sees. Unfortunately, knowing that people thought they were different or weird because of their sexuality was not enough. I asked him about his future journey and if he has any worries or advice for other of his sexuality. First, one shocking statement that we came across and found eye opening is that he is worried about how the new president Donald Trump will judge the homosexuals. In fact, he fears that the rights of the people like himself will be restricted increasingly. If this does end up happening, it will destroy decades of progress we as people have made with gay-rights laws. Sadly, his remark may eventually become true because President trump was quoted on says “It’s not my thing”, and he does not support gay rights. First, one common way that people use the word is in a derogatory way. For example, when you are with a group of friends and your friend says something weird and you think it is stupid and you say that you are so “Gay”. By hearing the word used in this way it is said that all gays are dumb and act weird which is truly depicting of a homosexual’s character. Another way the word is used wrong is when he is with some of his friends and people are just having a good time and they talk about their futures and they say that he will have a “Gay” wedding in which is very annoying. When talking about everyone’s future they should just say wedding because it should not matter whether some man is marrying a male or female because a wedding should represent love and that is all. Truly, the word “Gay” is still used a lot in the wrong terms and hopefully eventually there will be a change in that area and make the world “Gay” represent happiness and
