“We can’t buy our way to paradise!” John replied, furious. “You’ve gone too far, Alice. We need to stop this. We need to get rid of that teapot.” “No, John, I am never getting rid of it. This teapot saved us, don’t you realize that?” Alice said in a calm voice. John sprinted to their bedroom and began to pack his things. As he grabbed his suitcase, he heard footsteps coming toward him. “Where the hell do you think you’re going?” Alice asked, holding something behind her back. “I’m leaving, and don’t try to come after me. This whole thing with the teapot is crazy.” The worry in John’s voice was obvious. She proceeded to beat him down until he was in fetal position on the floor. “What is wrong with you, maniac!” John screamed. Then, with one more hit in the ribs with the pin, he blacked out. John awoke in complete darkness. He was laying flat on the garage floor, completely naked. He tried to lift his arm, but it was constrained with a rope. “Don’t try getting out of those, you’ll only make them tighter.” Said a voice in the corner. It was Alice, and she had just turned on the single light bulb hanging from the ceiling. She pulled out a giant butcher knife and, just like that, sliced every toe off John’s left foot. “Gah! Stop it oh, my god let me go!” John wailed in pain as blood trickled from the stubs replacing his toes. Bills flew out of the teapot; twenty dollars for every toe. Alice continued to slice off the rest of his toes and watched the teapot fill will more
