Just knowing a loved one was lost one’s hope would cause so much suffering in one’s family. Alzheimer’s is the only cause of death in America that cannot be prevented, cured, or slowed, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. Due to this disease, one forgets his or her memories of one’s relationships and his or her past. Alzheimer's patients should not be told of their diagnosis because sometimes test results are incorrect, it could be a burden and give one stress, and it could lead to health care and ethical problems. A loved one with Alzheimer’s should not know about their diagnosis because the test results could have been incorrect. According to the website About Health, there is always a possibility that the test results are wrong. The patients should not know about their disease because it could cause stress and anxiety. It could also cause the patients to spend unnecessary money that they do not have, or make them spend all their life savings.
