In one of her new schools, she hooked up with an older student, who had a girlfriend, and the latter and her friends insulted her ad verbally abused her in public. Subsequently, bystanders taunted her and called her names. Besides verbal bullying, Amanza went through physical bullying when this girlfriend pushed and punched her repeatedly. In addition, due to the past case of flashing herself for a stranger who spread her photo online, she endured social bullying through different people who spread nasty humors about her and encouraged their friends to socially exclude her. As a result, Amanda lost all her friends and became a loner, eating lunch at the library because no one liked her. Finally, Amanda experienced repeated cyberbullying. First, the man who took a photo of her private parts kept on following and harassing her, exposing her in new schools to malign her reputation. The same man used Facebook to destroy her image. Second, in her new school, those who bullied her in the former school followed her in social media and tagged her with pictures that demeaned her. First, the school should have actively intervened to investigate and stop the spread of Amanda’s photo as well as penalized anyone who keeps and uses it. Said initiatives will send a strong message that bullying is unacceptable behavior with tangible sanctions. Second, the police should have captured the cyberbully and imprisoned him. The media should then cover the punishment to underline that cyberbullies will be put behind bars. Third, teachers and Amanda’s family should have worked together to provide family and school-based interventions, including helping her feel safe and accepted in school again. All the actions from different groups will emphasize that bullying is wrong and the victim, whatever mistake she has done, deserves forgiveness and
