Social media has become a controversial topic over the recent years. There is a disagreement between people in whether social media can be a good thing or a bad thing to those who use it. Whether it can help or hurt people. Kennis Cady was a twelve year old girl from my hometown who committed suicide because of social media. The things that were said to her and about her over social media became a factor in Cady’s death. This brings up a question about her death; would she have committed suicide if it wasn’t for social media, or would these people still have picked on her during school?
