Should what you say on social media like Facebook Twitter be grounds for getting fired from work or expelled from school? I honestly think what you put on your social media accounts should not ruin your chances of losing your job or being expelled from school. Some people should not be held accountable for the things they put on the internet. What if it was an accident? What if they posted it in the pass? Certain things should be looked over. In some cases some bosses show no sympathy or remorse and would be fire an employee and wouldn 't care. Allow me to explain and interpret facts and research on how social media and the internet can be gateways for people to get fired or expelled from school. What people put on social media and the internet should be their business and should be private in your school or work area. That 's just my opinion. There are many ways social media could help or hurt your social life, such as school, your job, family, or friends. When it comes to certain jobs like a police officer for example, if their boss find something illegal or disturbing on their social media account, they are most likely to lose their job. Is that wrong or right? I honestly think it 's wrong, but I agree in this case to a certain extent. I think it 's common sense to delete or remove certain things that could determine whether you get the job or not before your interview. According to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, people spend at least one hour on social media while at work. In most cases I totally disagree. I don’t think a social media site should intervene and come to between you losing your job. In some cases most employers would find it disturbing, offensive, or illegal.
