However, exceptionality refers to individual, including children, youth and adults, whose behaviors, features, and /or situation deviate from the norm to such as extent that special needs are presents and certain services and /or supoort may be warranted. Meanwhile, Learning disabilities is a neurological condition that interferes with an indiviuals ability to store, process or produce information. Learning disablities can affect one’s ability to read, write, speak, spell, compute math, reason and also affect an individual’s attention, emotion, co-ordination, social skills and emotional maturity. There are legislations put in place for person with any exceptionality.
There were many major movements and goals of the antebellum reform. Before the Civil War, almost 100 reform communities were instituted. Some were democratic, others were ruled over by an interesting leader. Most of them were motivated by religion, but some had desires to reverse social and economic changes. Almost all of these communities wanted to have a cooperative society, to revive social harmony in an individualistic society and to close the growing space between the rich and the poor.

Lastly, transition was one of the many issues special education children face in schools today. As these children continue to age, transition planning and resources for students continue to worsen. This has parents wondering where they can send their special needs child to transition from school systems to a mature lifestyle. Further organisational barriers were presented which may impede effective communication between patients and staff. It may be that the need for written forms of communication or the use of poor signage caused issues for these individuals as reduced literacy skills may make it difficult to comprehend these types of communication. Rigid appointment systems may be a barrier to accessing health care if the patient is unable to tell the time or manage their time effectively. The purpose of the research was to investigate the coping styles and strategies of students who have learning disabilities and to compare them with students without learning disability. The research hypotheses is there would be no difference in means for the coping styles and strategies among the pre-intervention means of the study group (students who had learning disabilities) and the published means of students (general population) as measured using the Adolescent Coping Scale. The independent variables are the coping styles and strategies of students who have learning disabilities and general population students.
Schools need to provide students with resources such as an RA or SNA (Special Needs Assistant) to students or teachers that want or need one. They also need to provide specific framework for students such as IEPs etc., allow pre-entry contact for pupils and parents, and create a strong relationship with parents based on constant communication.
