Imagine waking up every morning forcing yourself to go to work, and knowing that your boss is the antagonist in your life. Abusive power in the work place can be shown when the boss is micromanaging to the extreme; physically and verbal abusing employees, and creating demands that go against terms of employment; in effect, making employees feel as if they were in prison, and physiologically feel worthless. Abusive behavior creates an intimidating work environment. Hostile work environment includes micromanaging, sexual harassment,and bullying employees. When the boss is eager to finish a project, they start to micromanage everyone, and in effect the employees begin to stress. Employees that are stress can evolve into a domino effect to the company. Employers that micromanage do not trust their employees; which leads into hovering over them while they`re working, and by hovering over the employees tend to act nervous and not perform to their full capability.
