Flannery O’Connor’s “A Good Man is Hard to Find” has a few interesting characters, however, none have much development besides the Misfit. The story goes over a woman and her family going on a trip to Florida, and along the way, they crash into a ditch. After the crash, a serial killer called “The Misfit” stopped along with his goons. The killers took a couple of members from the family at a time to kill them. After the grandmother was the last of her family alive, the Misfit killed her, too. From what the reader observes from the story, one can see that The Misfit is a man with a strong moral code, however, it is one that is seen as entirely backwards in a modern society. Within the story, The Misfit states that “[T]he crime don't matter”
