The name of this teenager is Melinda Sordino, Melinda has grown significantly from the beginning to the end of Speak. Throughout all of this there have been three main symbols, a mirror, trees, and an old janitor's closet. These symbols expressed the importance of self-esteem, overcoming obstacles, and sanctuary.

In this novel, Capote uses a compilation of many writing styles such as narrative and descriptive to convey his purpose. Firstly, Capote uses narrative in the text. He tells the story of Susan Kidwell, who was Nancy Clutter’s friend, discovering the dead bodies. Using first person narrative, it makes the scene more emotional, more tragic and it has a stronger connection between the characters in the text and the reader.
During the reading of chapter 1 by Brenda Combs I became tearful with her story of how the circumstances in her life changed by imploring help from the Lord to heal her from her addictions and homelessness. After she took her decision of staying positive, and setting up goals, and with determination that she and her son deserved more than a simple paycheck. Those thoughts were her inspiration for improvement, and working very hard in her dreams without giving up. The poem she wrote for her son inspired me to work harder and continue working with love and respect for self and others as always do and being an example for my daughter. Chapter Two In Chapter 2, the author expresses that it is okay to make mistakes. I agree with the author, but I have a hard time practicing it. The author also provides a permission list of what we should allow ourselves to do.
All Quiet on the Western Front is a novel about the individual story of soldier in war, with the main character being Paul Baulmer. It shows the growth of human and the life cycle of battlefield. This illuminated text focuses on the last two chapters of All Quiet where the German hopelessly suffered the crushing defeat by the hand of superior allied forces. I try to recreate vibrantness war by emphasizing moving objects such as flying shells and aeroplanes. I keep the illuminated text with a white background so that I could place the viewer focus on the animation itself.

In this analysis, the similarities of Beth and Conrad will be looked upon, as well as the little progression they’ve had in the novel and the progression they will never have.
In the short story, "Everyday Use" by Alice Walker the narrator and her daughters battle with the internal conflict of their culture. A symbol in literature is described as an object which has a meaning other than its literal meaning. The quilts described in the story symbolized the history of the family.
