Have you ever been able to sense the energy of a room of people, just by being present there? Have you ever sensed the energy or emotions of another person by standing near them? If so, you have some natural ability that otherwise takes discipline and focus to develop.

Assessment of the Energy Field Before and after energy healing, one can sense the energy in the client’s field by gently moving one’s hand through the field, a few inches away from the body. When the energy field is balanced and flowing easily the energy will feel even or smooth all over the body. It might feel full, radiant, dynamic, or flowing. Having terminology to describe the sensations will help ground the assessment process for the healer.

Slowly move your palms closer to each other and notice any sensations you feel. You might experience visual sensations (light, colors), smells, tastes, sounds (static, sparks, chimes, high or low-pitched sounds), a kinesthetic movement of energy or your intuition (deep knowing) may bring information to your attention. The hands might also be drawn to an area where specific work is needed. You might notice at times that you can pick up emotions in the client, just by standing near them.
