In the “Declaration of Sentiments and Resolutions,” Elizabeth Cady Stanton talks about how women have been oppressed since the beginning of time and the resolutions that need to be made in the government, so that women receive the rights they are entitled to. As a women in the U.S., I am very thankful for this speech and the author. Without the creation of this speech maybe American women would have never received the right to vote or to reach their full potential.

While I read this eloquent piece of literature, I find that I share a common point of view with it. For example, it states that,”All men and women are created equal; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights.” I believe women and men need to coexist together in equality. Although women are made of sugar and spice and men are made of who knows what, both genders belong to the homosapien species. Therefore, we should live together in harmony, and not in …show more content…

This is one of the resolutions I most agree with because women should be able to vote. Gender shouldn’t be an implication to deny someone’s power to vote. Another resolution I agree with is the one which states,”All laws which prevent women from occupying such a station in society as her conscience shall dictate, or which place her in a position to that inferior of men, are contrary to the great precept of nature.” What this means is that any laws that stop women from reaching their full potential or make them more inferior than men are against principle. Without a doubt this is what women are and should be entitled to. As we see today women are more than capable to run companies, countries, and anything else they perceive. All in all, I can say that I agree with everything this speech
