1. I observed a 22 month old, her mother, and her father at my house. 2. I didn 't have any problems when it came to observing. 3. There were a few signs of attachment that I saw from the child. The first was proximity seeking. When the parents brought her over, the child stayed in the same room as the parent and sort of close. As the parents sat on the couch she was able to play with her toys, but when the parents would walk into another room she would normally follow along. The other sign was contact seeking. I noticed that if she was walking around with a toy she would come over and touch one of her parents on the knee or she would sometimes sit close enough to them that she would almost sit on their feet. 4. The child that I observed was securely attached. This was seen when the parents left for a while. While the parents were there the child was able to play with the toys happily. Then when the parents began to leave the child put down the toys and gave them a hug and then played again. When they arrived back the child welcomed them with a big hug. 7. Some advice for the parents of an insecurely attached child would be to always reassure that they will be back. Also to not stress as much because that affects child as well. Some advice for the parents looking to foster would be first off where to get a child. In some places the child has gone through a lot, such as the Romanian infants. These children could carry emotional scars and could have problems with attachment. 8. I do not think the observation is a valid one. I think this because children all experience different events in their lives so this could change whether or not they will show signs of secure attachment. Also I think it depends on how well the child knows the observer. If you observe a child you know very well they would act different from a child who doesn 't know you at all. You could still observe a child but I think it would have to be a child at random or a group of children and how they react when each parent
