I think this is something that really conveys the message that you aren’t whole until you have a steady relationship with god. I think it was a very poetic way of describing that transformation. When the woman is talking about Robert it seems as though she doesn’t realize that she stole his passion and used him to make money to make her happy and that she was making him miserable because he never asked for any of her assistance she just went ahead and did it for the earthly property of

“Time collapses in the lips of strangers” (Lorde, line 1). In the poem Never to Dream of Spiders by Audre Lorde the poet uses figurative language, imagery, and tone to portray the purpose of mourning. “Poetry Is Not a Luxury” (1982) intertwines feminism and poetry together. Author Audre Lorde says that for women, “poetry is not a luxury, but a necessity of our existence” (Lorde, 1982, pg. 281). In today’s society, women’s opinions aren’t really expressed, because it’s not widely accepted in this man-built world. Lorde’s quote “poetry is not a luxury, but a necessity of our existence” means that women should use their voices and channel their energy into poetry. Since poetry is accepted, women aren’t being deviant.

First, Joseph wrote this masterpiece at the age of 29, a year before becoming a mature adult, from there her inspiration to write this poem. Her idea was to place her feeling into a paper where she expresses her excitement and fear of being considered an adult in society.
“Verses upon the Burning of our House, July 10th, 1666” is an poem written by Anne Bradstreet that, at its surface, is about internal conflict that is experienced when the author (in this case a devoted and faithful Christian woman) believes she has become too fond of material or, rather yet, earthly things. However, once the reader has had the chance to appreciate all its aspects respectively, they uncover underlying layers that add meanings that would otherwise be overlooked. Throughout the poem, Bradstreet utilizes a number of literary devices in order to ensure that the poem’s theme is recognized and fully comprehended by the reader. The most significant theme of “Verses upon the Burning of our House, July 10th, 1666” is that no matter how dark times get, with the grace of God all will be well because He has better in store for His believers in their eternal life and in Heaven. When the sequence of the poem is intertwined with the poet’s personal background (which gives insight into how the author
The five song playlist that I chose is Fireworks, Set fire to the rain, The way, Love the way you lie and Firestones. All of these songs relates to the novel in different ways. The song Fireworks by katy Perry relates to the novel Fahrenheit 451 because in this song it is saying if you ever feel Like a plastic bag drifting through the wind wanting to start again. Guy Montag had committed mistakes that he might regretted.
I think this poem describes the struggle beautifully. The reason I chose this poem specifically is because of how different it is from the other two I chose, the symbolism and figurative language is used
Through repetition and a conversational tone, Audre Lorde conveys the isolation and anxiety of a young girl who is trying to bridge the gap between childhood and adulthood. “Hanging Fire” goes through a young girl’s thoughts. These thoughts illustrate her isolation, anxiety, and lack of guidance. This poem shows what happens when children are growing up alone, and hints and the horrible things that can happen.
In this poem the wife dies in the fire. There are silver bells for the date ; golden bells for the wedding, brazen bells for the fire, and iron bells for the funeral. The speaker in “ The Bells ” agrees that the world is going to end in fire. The husband wishes he would never have gotten married; so, he would not be going through the pain.
I think the poem is really great. It shows Hugo's love and compassion throughout it's entirety. It tells us that children are innocent. That they do not understand anything they are doing. They accept what

Later in life as the kids get older, they learn that their mom will not always be there for you, so they start to get close with their mom and they realize all the wonderful things your mom did for you.
