A unique writer is someone who expresses his or her feelings throughout his narratives. Junot Diaz in my opinion is one of those unique writers. Growing up in the Dominican Republic, raced only by his hard working mother, Junot Diaz learned very valuable lessons in his childhood that helped him become whom he is today. Not only does Junot Diaz write great stories, but he also tends to give us a feeling of what is meant to be an immigrant from the Dominican Republic in his stories. Diaz humbleness and compassion towards others can be seen in this writing.
There are many symbols in A Raisin in the Sun worth describing, but one that particularly stands out is Mama’s plant. It is old and barely a substantial piece of nature, yet it makes many vital appearances in the play. The small plant seems to personify Mama’s stubborn nature in its intent on survival despite its close to death appearance. It also represents Mama’s dream that seems close to being crushed, yet never dies. As a whole, the plant is an extension of Mama’s character and an important symbol in the play.
Aguantando takes place in the Dominican Republic. The narrative of the story Aguantando is written in first person point of view. Aguantando is about a very poor family of two boys, a mother and a grandfather. The two boys and the mother where abandon by the father, who promise them several times that he will migrate them to the United States. Myles’ metaphor can be interpreted as a way of dealing with difficult times and learning how to live with these situations.
The children were given their bath at 7:30pm. Ms. Cortes fed the children Ramen Noodles for dinner with a cup of juice on the side. Today to some extent Ms. Cortes choose to step up and discipline the children. When the Jordan and Messiah were fight on the elevator, she pulled them apart. An outlying theme in Arango's oeuvre, and in Colombian art of the era, it that it is seemingly more sensible to see her paintings within the context of literary production, as customary of women's culture in Colombia which accentuates captivity and confinement combined with the depiction of female mental illness and/or physical illness. In the painting Esquizofrenia, Arango also enters into an established international tradition of the visual representation of the female sufferers of mental disorders as well as the “hysterical woman”. The woman depicted in Esquizofrenia represents proximity and compression both through the way in which she almost fills the limits of the frame, and the way her body appears to be straining through the confines
The next artwork is done by Louise Bourgeois called Cumul. The interesting part of this artist is she makes really abstract sculptures but it looks like you can just touch it and it will feel real. This sculpture was made of marble which look like a form of round fluffy clouds. This sculpture looks really 3-D as to someone can interact with it. This painting, just like the two above include male and female body parts .
The women of Antiquity (2010) is seen as a visual silences of love with hate by creating a unity of truth finding. Anslem Kiefer's talent in using aesthetics and representation of visual identity is present and indicates ideals of the human condition. Presentation Notes Background:
The readings “Paradise Redux: Gauguin, Photography, and Fin-de-Siele Tahiti” by Dorothy Kosinski” seeks to address how artist of the 19th Century employed the use of photography as an alternative tool to enhance their creativity. The article also examines the important role that the new medium of photography played in expressing the colonial experience, the progress of European culture, and the start of a cultural movement toward the modern and the primitive. What I think the author would like for us to know is how big of an impact photography made on modern art. How photography could be used to draw a person in by providing a visual account of being in another place creating a sense of nearness or of being real, by giving a more accurate representation
Picasso had many drawings that indirectly supported men to be the superior and wiser. For example, in his La vie painting he drew a naked woman standing beside a man who is wearing underwear, as on the other side there was another woman who was holding a baby. One can judge Picasso as a man who looked at women as sexual objects or mothers depending on what his paintings were about, especially this one. Therefore, one can realize how Picasso’s art has supported the inferiority of
Murayama had placed a photograph of Yasushi in the bottom of the vase, which causes the reader to question why Murayama hid the photograph instead of just giving it to the woman. Photography plays an essential role in the short story and the author even uses foreshadowing techniques, when the speaker states “he appeared like a photograph negative

Perspective is considered one of the most important aspects of Renaissance art. Artists such as Masaccio, Leonardo Da Vinci and Raphael made the use of this device in many of their work. Thanks to Filippo Brunelleschi, who ‘invented’ and developed this technique called one point linear perspective. The intention of perspective in Renaissance art is to depict reality, reality being the ‘truth’. By simulating the three dimensional space on a flat surface, we in fact incorporate this element of realism into it.
