President Richard Nixon turned into the President of the United States of American in 1969, amid one of the bleakest remote approach emergency ever. President Nixon is associated with The Watergate Scandal yet he did succeed in doing numerous incredible things for the United States while he was in office (Greenberg, 2008, p. 45). The Vietnam War was going on and the American people were split as to “for or against” our troops being in Vietnam. The Cold War was at its most astounding point; President Nixon knew he would have to change America's remote arrangement. He additionally knew he needed to take America back to the" silent majority" (Mindtap, Nixon's the One, 13.2) which he saw as the persevering, expense paying Americans. He pledged amid his crusade to bring "piece with honor" to the war in Vietnam. Nixon pulled back the American troops from Vietnam in 1972 and moved the United States Military to a volunteer power.
