159 Words1 Pages
Anne Frank is well known for her diary. Many people during the time Anne was alive kept a diary, that is pretty obvious, but one thing that separates Anne’s diary from theirs is that Anne’s was published. Her father, Otto Frank, had published the book after receiving it from an employee, who had kept it, hoping to return it back to Anne later on. Otto typed out Anne’s diary and gave it to others to read. A person who had read it urged Otto to publish the diary. Although, Otto was hesitant at first, concerned about how Anne wanted to keep the diary to herself, but decided that publishing it was what Anne would have wanted. The diary may not have become a best-seller, however, until it was adapted for the stage and was performed around the world.
