America had its ups and downs in the early and mid century. We had our best years and also the worst. There were many continuities and changes that affected families and their lifestyles. Three major factors that Americans went through were the economy, jobs and racism. In the 1920s daily life was rough with getting jobs. In the 1920s women were known to stay home while men worked.
