Andrew Jackson is an iconic figure in American history. He is renown for his numerous accomplishments, but also his outrageous demeanor and actions. Jackson grew up without a father. Not having a father, and growing up in a war torn world, wasn’t the most desirable quality to have for a child. This molded Jackson into the person he later became. He married a woman that left her husband for him. The norm was never what Jackson aligned too. When he was twenty years old he became a lawyer. With this brought new opportunities. He served as the lone representative of Tennessee. His disliked the doings, he witnessed in congress. The backdoor deals, and exchange of favors, rubbed him the wrong way. Jackson opted to take a simpler approach to life.
