Andrew Carnegie: A Titan of Industry Andrew Carnegie was a Scottish immigrant, who became one of the greatest business men in American history. He was born in Dunfermline, Scotland to a poor household. His family immigrated to the United States when he was a young boy. Once Carnegie arrived in the US one of his first jobs was working in a cotton mill for one-dollar and twenty cents a week.

Relationships can be analyzed using communication theories and concepts, such as self-disclosure, interpersonal competence, stages of interpersonal relationships, Social Exchange theory, and Relational Dialectics theory. The knowledge of these concepts and theories lead to a wider understanding of the long-distance relationship. The theories signified factual observation and studies which have been studied over time that holds true in my past relationship. It has impacted in strengthening the process in long-distance relationships. My experience with this kind of relationship is full of regret.
Living in the technology age our constant need for technology and the internet has changed everything about a person’s daily life. Technology has replaced the ability for deep, meaningful thought and even the need for face-to-face human interaction. Today people don’t have to put in a lot of work in order to find information they are looking for. They can find it easily at the touch of their fingers on the internet. While in Texas, Goo moved out there to stay with him until he got shipped out to fight, that is the best they could do to stay in touch before the war.

In life, one of the important social skills we learn is how to interact and communicate with people. People have their own way of communicating and this cause some people tend to have problems expressing themselves because their social abilities are not developed. Thus, travelling and interacting with a variety of people can help to improve our social skills. In other way, travelling not only improve our communication skills, it can actually boost self-confidence, since ideas and opinions are able to be more clearly expressed, shared and
