Anne Frank was born in 1929 to German-jewish family during World War II. During that time Adolf Hitler became Germany’s leading political force and started the Nazi Party against jewish. The Franks family moved to Amsterdam after founding out the horrible circumstances in Germany. They were hiding in Anne’s dad’s Otto Frank’s company building for two years before they they were found and sended to concentration camp to Germany. During their hiding time Anne Frank was writing a diary about her everyday life and all the horrible circumstances they went through.
It became hard for Anne, she was put into a segregated Jewish school, her father even had to give up his title in his business. On June 12, 1942 Anne got a diary for her birthday, this will later be the reason we know Anne Frank’s story. On July 5, 1942 Anne’s family were forced into hiding; it was no longer safe for their family to live in the outside world. She wrote in her diary “ The world will keep turning without me, and I can’t do anything to change events anyway.” The family spent two years in hiding, it wasn't till August 4, 1944 that the family was found by the police, they arrested everyone in hiding.

Anne Frank was a young cute little girl with hard lines. Slender and beautiful, she had oval face and deep-set brown eyes. Girl has blunt bob of dark hair as a sage. Straight nose and thin lips like threads. When she smiled her white teeth were sparkling.

Over the course of the story other characters join the family into hiding such as Mr. and Mrs. Van Daan, and their son Peter. During the time of hiding, Anne kept a diary to write down all her thoughts, fears, and feelings and was later known to be the most important piece of literature from the times of the Holocaust. The story takes you through their everyday lives of hiding in the annex which also includes arguing and times of happiness.

After the Germans invaded the Netherlands in 1940, the Franks, another family called the van Daans and Mr Russell hid in a small secret annex above Otto Frank’s, Anne’s father’s office.
At the same time, her diary has become a universal symbol of courage and hope. In her diary, Anne Frank poses questions such as ‘what is war?’ Why are Jewish people hated and discriminated against? What is freedom?
