Annelies Marie Frank “Anne Frank” was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt Germany to Otto and Edith Frank and younger sister to Margot Frank.Her family minus her had fled to Amsterdam in the Netherlands in 1933. She was the last one to fled there a year later in February 1934, she lived with her grandparents in Aachen for that year her family fled.
The half of July Anne and her family went into hiding into a secret attic apartment. Soon followed by Hermann, Auguste, Peter Van Pels, and Fritz Pfeffer.
June 12, 1942, she received a red checkered diary by her parents for her 13th birthday in which she had June 12, 1942 to August 1, 1944.
During those entries are ones that move everyone. She addresses it to an imaginary friend named Kitty.

Otto’s friends, Johannes Kleiman, Victor Kugler, Jane and Miep Gies. Anne and her family were found when she was 15 years old and was sent to the camps.
On August 4, 1944,Gestapo had discovered the hiding place. Gestapo official SS Sergeant Karl Silberbauer and a few Dutch police collaborators had then arrested the Franks. They were sent to Westerbork on August 8. A month later September 1944, the SS and police authorities had placed the Franks on a train transport from Westerbork to the Auschwitz camp complex in the Germany occupied Poland.
On September 3, 1944, Anne’s family had boarded the last transport from Westerbork to Auschwitz-Birkenau. The transport then arrived at Auschwitz on September 5, 1944, the men and women were then separated.
Anne’s parents were selected for labor by the SS officials. Anne and Margot were selected for their youth were then transferred to the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp near Celle, in northern Germany in late October 1944. Any women selected for this transport were marked with numbers between A-25060 and A-25271. The records indicating all their exact numbers were not
