A colonizer and statesman, Manuel Lorenzo Justiniano de Zavala was one of the most talented and capable of the many native Mexicans involved in Texas ' struggle for independence from Mexico. He was born in the villiage of Tecoh in what is now the state of Yucatan, Mexico, on October 3, 1789. While still in his teens, de Zavala became an ardent advocate of democratic reforms. As a result of his political activism, he was imprisoned in 1814 for three years. When released, he re-entered politics and by 1820 represented Yucatan in the Spanish Cortes in Madrid.
Brendon Marrocco, from Staten Island, New York, enlisted in the United States Army on January 15, 2008. He was sent to Fort Benning, Georgia, for basic training the following May. After completion, Marrocco volunteered to serve in the Army Infantry and was assigned to the 3rd Brigade, Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th Regiment of the 25th Infantry Division based at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. In late October 2008, as a private first class, Marrocco’s unit deployed to Iraq, where he was stationed at Forward Operating Base Summerall, to serve a twelve-month deployment. This is where his life would take a drastic turn.

Before he entered the military he had 4 years of a high school education (High school Diploma). First he had to go through a 12 week basic training camp (boot camp).
Giuseppe Zangara Giuseppe Zangara shot and killed Chicago Mayor Anton Cermak by mistake . . . his real target was President-elect Franklin D. Roosevelt. Zangara was born on September 7, 1900 in Calabria, Italy. After serving in World War I, he joined his uncle in emigrating to the United States in 1923.
Arturo Lemón - is the leader of a powerful gang located in the rough city of Compton, California. He has committed many crimes in his career, but he has always stayed in areas of Compton that cops can’t go to without being killed. Basically, Arturo is protected so well by his inferiors that it would be a suicide mission for a cop to try to kill him. Arturo has made a lot of money in the organized crime business, but he is greedy so he continues running operations. When his right-hand man Tony messed up a job, even after working for Arturo for 11 years, Arturo decided to kill him to prevent the police from hunting Arturo down since he thought Tony was going to get captured.
It is still somewhat up in the air as to why exactly Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris did what they did on that April morning in 1999. The boys were undoubtedly troubled by what ails most younger men. However, these boys seemed to take their grievances to the extreme. In the following I will attempt to dive into just who Dylan and Eric were and why they did it. Of the two ,Dylan was likely the most mentally stable, but was very easily influenced by the explosion of rage that was Eric Harris.
Section One: Luis Alfredo Garavito, of Colombia, definitely earned his nickname “the Beast,” after he admitted to the slaughter of 140 young boys; however, there are many indications that the actual number of murders is closer to 300. From 1994-1999, Garavito indulged in a killing spree. He used food, cash, and gifts in order to lure his young victims to him, all of which were boys between the ages of eight and sixteen. In addition, he would occasionally dress as a monk or street vendor in order to create the illusion that the kids were in a safe environment, before persuading them to go on a walk.

The Malcolm Little born on May 19th 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. Frederick Douglas born in a slave cabin in February 1880s; these men were both two African American activist who faced challenges in life. From running the cotton field to running the block they both are from different generations, but come together by their love and value for education. Although the time frame they lived on earth was more than one hundred years apart, Frederick Douglass and Malcolm X used their art of education and public speaking thus representing the place that African Americans held in the society and culture of the United States during their respective lifetimes. ANDREAS VESALIUS Andreas Vesalius, the father of modern anatomy was born in Brussels in 1514 and died in 1564. Throughout his life of 49 years, Vesalius challenged medical theories with a thirst for learning and discovery. Born into a wealthy family with his father as a pharmacist at the court of Margret of Austria, he received a privileged education from six years old. In 1537, Vesalius gained his doctorate and became a professor of Surgery and Anatomy at the University of Padua. He valued lifelong learning which contributed to his revolutionary works and methods demonstrating the spirit of a Renaissance man.
